2002 W3 William White Wines Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 750ml  W3 2002 Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
Very intense and bright dense black/purple core with a clear ruby red rim. Great floral notes lead the nose with violets and hints of lilac followed by black cherry and cassis fruits surrounded by vanilla spice and crème brûlée. Notes of charcoal, graphite and tight minerality play at the edges. On the palate the wine is very soft and lush up front with a bold candied cherry flavor. Strong yet balanced acids kick in on the mid palate, accommpanied by hints of ripe strawberries. There is a very present backbone of tannins, but they are soft, refined and velvety. Cinnamon and clove come in over the fruit and lead through a long, spicy finish.
